Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

With the aim of encouraging tourism, facilitating the flow of travelers and continuing to promote friendly relations and cooperation with the People's Republic of China, it has been decided to exempt Chinese citizens holding ordinary passports who wish to enter, transit, leave or remain in the territory of the Republic of Cuba from the visa requirement.

Chinese citizens who wish to remain in the territory of the Republic of Cuba for a period exceeding ninety (90) days, as of entry, must apply for the corresponding visa.

Friends of Cuba and Cubans in Melbourne stand against the Blockade

Melbourne, May 5, 2024. This morning, a large group of friends of Cuba and Cubans living in Melbourne took to the streets to demand an end to the blockade against Cuba and in support of the Cuban Revolution and its people. 

During the march, Cuban and Palestinian flags were raised in support of the noble cause of the Palestinian people.

Adelaide (South Australia) and Perth (Western Australia) activate for Cuba

Adelaide and Perth, May 4, 2024. Members of the Australian Cuba FriendShip Society carried out activities in favor of Cuba in the cities of Adelaide and Perth. 

During the day, moments of Cuba's history were shown on different stands, as well as discussions about the experiences of the "Cruz del Sur" Brigade, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. 

Cultural Night in Canberra in favor of Cuba

Canberra, May 4, 2024. A cultural evening took place in Canberra, sponsored by the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society. During the evening, musical numbers of Cuban culture were performed to great acclaim by the audience. 

Australian Trade Unionists Receive CTC Recognition

Canberra, 3 May 2024. Members of the Construction, Forestry and Maritime Workers Union (CFMEU) received recognition from the Central de Trabajadores de Cuba (CTC).

The recognition is a show of gratitude on behalf of the Cuban people and government for the solidarity actions carried out by Australian friends in favour of Cuba.
