Webinar on investment opportunities in Cuba in the oil and mining sectors was held in Australia

Canberra, February 25, 2021.- Today, a Webinar on business and investment opportunities in mining and oil in Cuba was held with the participation of Australian companies, Cuban executives from the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MINEM ), Unión Cuba-Petróleo (CUPET), Geominero-Salinero (GEOMINSAL) and Cubaníquel, as well as the respective ambassadors of Cuba and Australia.

Members of the Australian Parliament register nomination of the Cuban medical brigade ¨Henry Reeve¨ to the Nobel Peace Prize

Canberra, 25th January 2021.- Several members of the Australia-Cuba Parliamentary Group at the federal level recently signed the nomination of the International Medical Brigade ¨Henry Reeve¨ for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize. The federal member of the Parliament (MP) for the Labor Party, Maria Vamvakinou, formally registered the aforementioned nomination to the Norwegian Nobel Committee on behalf of the eleven signatory MPs.

Australia-Cuba Friendship Society holds its National Consultation.

Canberra, December 7, 2020.- Last Saturday members of different branches of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS) held their annual National Consultation.

 On the Cuban side, José Prieto Cintado, Vice President of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), Leima Martínez Freire, Director of Asia and Oceania of that organization and the Ambassador of Cuba to Australia, Ariel Lorenzo Rodríguez, participated in the event.
