Statement of Cuba on the subject of Technical Cooperation of the IAEA Technical Assistance and Cooperation Committee
The Cuban delegation congratulates you on your recent election as President of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Cuba appreciates the presentation of the GOV / 2020/44 report by the Deputy Director General, Mr. Dazhu Yang, detailing the Agency's technical cooperation program for 2021 and requesting approval of the funds necessary to carry it out.
Regarding what is stated in the Report, Cuba presents the following considerations:
Cuban ambassador holds meeting with top executive of the company Pernod Ricard in Austria

As part of the activities to support commercial economic activity between Cuba and Austria, the Cuban Ambassador to this country Loipa Sánchez Lorenzo, held a meeting with the Managing Director of the French company Pernod Ricard Austria and his team, at their headquarters in Vienna.

The Cuban people and the international community are aware of the dishonest campaign that the government of the United States has launched since 2019 to discredit Cuba’s international medical cooperation; exert pressure on the governments that have asked for it and deprive peoples of these health services.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba denounces that, as part of that offensive, the US government has unleashed an array of pressures and blackmails against the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO).
Intervention by Ambassador Loipa Sánchez Lorenzo, Head of the Cuban Delegation, in the General Debate of the 64th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
Cuba participated in the Fifth World Conference of Presidents of Parliaments
Vienna, August 21, 2020. Cuba participated in the 5th World Conference of Presidents of Parliaments, a virtual event from August 19 to 20, organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in close coordination with the Austrian Parliament and the Organization of the United Nations (UN). The Cuban delegation that participated in the aforementioned meeting was chaired by Esteban Lazo Hernández, President of the National Assembly of People's Power of the Republic of Cuba.
