Cuban Culture Day begins in Belize.

Belmopan, October 10, 2024.- The collectives that make up the Cuban state mission in Belize began the Day for Cuban Culture, which on this occasion is dedicated to honoring the outstanding intellectual Alejo Carpentier and art instructors.

Cuban delegation participates in the Regional Workshop on the BBNJ Agreement held in Belize. 

Placencia, October 10, 2024.- Representatives of Cuba participated in the Regional Workshop for Caribbean Small Island Developing States on the Agreement for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biodiversity beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ), which took place from October 7 to 10 in the southern Belizean city of Placencia.

At the event, M.S.c Teresa Cruz Sardiñas, from the Environment Directorate of CITMA, presented the experience of #Cuba in the process to become a State Party to the BBNJ Agreement.

Cuban ambassador participates in ceremony for the independence of Belize. 

Belmopan, September 21, 2024.- Presided over by Governor General Dame Froyla Tzalam and Prime Minister John Briceño, on the grounds where the National Assembly is located, adorned with national flags, the state ceremony for the 43rd anniversary of Belize's independence from British colonialism, proclaimed on September 21, 1981, was held.

Cuban ambassador participates in a ceremony honoring Belize's National Hero George Cadle Price.

Belize City, September 19, 2024.- Ambassador María Caridad Balaguer Labrada participated in the tribute to George Cadle Price, Father of the Nation and Prime Minister of Belize after its independence, on the thirteenth anniversary of his physical disappearance. 
Government authorities, students and family members highlighted the role of the distinguished patriot in the process of independence of the English metropolis achieved on September 21, 1981 and his life at the service of the nation.
