Cuban Embassy in Liberia bids farewell to Liberian students who will study Medicine at ELAM.

Monrovia, August 13, 2024 - The Cuban Embassy in Liberia commemorated the 98th birthday of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz with the celebration of a farewell meeting for the Liberian students who benefited from scholarships to study medicine in Cuba through the Scholarship Plan offered by the Cuban government as part of the cooperation with the African country.

Liberian medical graduates thank Cuba for their education.

Monrovia, August 6, 2024 - The two Liberian medical students who graduated this year in Cuba were awarded Gold Diplomas for their academic performance and integrity.

Both students thanked Cuba for their achievements and training.

The Liberian authorities conveyed their gratitude since thanks to the Cuba-Liberia Scholarship Plan the African country has benefited from graduates, engineers, doctors and health technicians; fruits of the bilateral relations between the two countries.

In a fraternal atmosphere, both parties confirmed the good state of diplomatic ties and both diplomats discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral interest for both nations.

Among the 700 graduates in medical sciences, 2 Liberians receive their degree in Cuba.

Havana, August 21, 2023 - In the context of the 70th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes Barracks, new health professionals from the Island and sister nations, graduates from different faculties of the University of Medical Sciences of Havana attended their graduation ceremony held at the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater of Cuba.

Monrovia, May 10, 2023 - The Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera had a cordial exchange with the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Liberia, Honorable Henry Fahnbulleh, an excellent opportunity where they discussed issues of interest to both parties in the bilateral and multilateral area.

The meeting was also propitious to hold a profitable exchange in view of the political-diplomatic events of the current year.

Cuban Head of Mission holds fraternal exchange with Liberian Ambassador to Cuba.

Monrovia, January 18, 2023 - Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera held a fraternal exchange with Ambassador Sarah Safny Fyneah, designated Permanent Representative of Liberia to the United Nations and its organs, concurrent to the Cuban state.

In a cordial atmosphere, both diplomats exchanged on various issues, including the commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral ties and work together to identify areas of mutually beneficial collaboration.

Liberian Minister of Education receives Cuban Head of Mission.

Monrovia, January 13, 2023 - On Friday morning, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Liberia, Prof. Ansu Dao Sonii, received in his office the Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

The occasion was propitious for the Cuban diplomat to refer to the academic exchange opportunities offered by the International Congress "Pedagogy 2023" to be held between January 30 and February 3 of this year in Havana.
