Cuban Ambassador says goodbye to Iraqi authorities

The Cuban Ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Iran and concurrent in the Republic of Iraq, Vladimir González Quesada, said goodbye to the Arab country’s authorities on the occasion of the next end of his mission in Tehran. In this regard, the diplomat sent two letters to the Iraqi President, Mohammad Fuad Masum, and to the Foreign Minister, Ibrahim Al-Eshaiker Al-Jaafari.

The Cuban Embassy in Tehran offered a cocktail on the occasion of the farewell of its Ambassador, Vladimir González Quesada, who returns to Cuba after four years of work in the Persian nation.

 

The event was attended by executives and officials of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, led by the Deputy Director General for the Americas, Hojatollah Soltaní, as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the country and some Iranian friends.

 

Foreign Minister of Iran welcomes Cuban Ambassador

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif welcomed Cuban ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada, as part of his farewell after completing four years of mission in Tehran.

 

Firstly, the ambassador conveys to Zarif the sincere congratulations on behalf of his Cuban counterpart, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, for his recent appointment and ratification as Foreign Minister in the new government of President Hassan Rohaní, for his second term.

 

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister welcomes Cuban Ambassador

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs, Majid Takht Ravanchi, hosted a lunch in honor of Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada, as part of his farewell.

 

By the Iranian side, the Director of the Second Department for the Americas and other officials at the Persian Foreign Ministry were also participated in the banquet. For his part, the Cuban diplomat was accompanied by the Ambassador of Nicaragua and dean of the Latin American Group, as well as the Ambassador of Ecuador and the Chargé d'Affaires of Argentina.
