The occasion was propitious for both parties to review issues of bilateral, multilateral and cooperation interest in the relations of both countries.
Cuban National Rebellion Day is celebrated in Zambia.

A representation of the Executive Committee of the Zambia Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group, the Friendship Associations with Cuba in that country ZACUFA and FRICUZ, and Cubans residing in the Zambian capital, celebrated together with the Cuban Embassy, the 70th Anniversary of the National Rebellion Day in Cuba.
Havana, June 8. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Carlos Fernández de Cossío, rejected the publication of the US newspaper The Wall Street Journal about an alleged agreement between the governments of China and Cuba to establish a Chinese military base in Cuban territory to intercept communications in the United States.
He stressed that "regardless of the sovereign rights of Cuba in defense matters, our country is a signatory to the Declaration of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, signed in Havana, in January 2014”.
Nigeria, January 16th, 2023.- The Cuban ambassador in this country, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, was received by Ambassador Samson Itegboye, director of International Organizations of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, conveyed to the Nigerian executive the gratitude for Nigeria's support for the Cuban resolution against the blockade.
The members of the United States delegation that came aboard the ship Regla de Oro (Golden Rule), symbol of the pacifist organization Veterans for Peace, described the blockade as an act of terrorism against the Cuban people. They visit Havana from December 31, and participate in the activities for the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution.
Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, denounced through his Twitter account the links of that social network with U.S. government agencies to carry out psychological warfare actions against Cuba and demanded a response on the matter.
Rodriguez pointed out that the so-called Twitter Files, documents leaked to journalists on the management of that company, show that the U.S. intelligence agencies, the Pentagon, and the State Department coordinated such activities.
At the same time, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) paid the company to respond to its requests, he added.
