The Cuban Consulate in Toronto celebrates International Women's Day

The General Consulate of Cuba in Toronto celebrated International Women's Day together with members of the Juan Gualberto Gómez Association of Cuban Residents in Canada, the Canadian Network on Cuba, the CCFA-Toronto, the Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity Network and friends of our country.

Women and anti-imperialism

On the occasion of the International Women's Day, the Cuban Consulate in Montreal participated as guest in a panel discussion on feminist groups and their activism against war and in defense of anti-imperialist ideas. The event took place at Café Aquin of the University of Quebec in Montreal.

Cuba participates at "Embracing Spring" event

Members of the Cuban Embassy in Canada participated at "Embracing Spring" cultural event held at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China.

 

Chinese culture and tradition were the protagonists of a colorful afternoon, together with the notes of universal classics such as Vivaldi and his "Four Seasons".

 

Likewise, the moment was propitious to pay tribute to the women present on the occasion of International Women's Day.

Strengthening academic ties between Cuba and Canada

The Cuban Ambassador to Canada, Hector Igarza, held a cordial meeting with Betina Appel Kuzmarov, Associate Vice President of the International Relations Office of Carleton University. During the meeting, they addressed the academic ties that have united Cuba and Carleton University for more than 30 years, as well as the areas of common interest in which exchanges have taken place.

Successful meeting between Saint Paul University and the Embassy of Cuba to Canada.

The Press and Cultural Attaché of the Cuban Embassy to Canada, Aileen Carmenaty held a meeting with Brianna Coffey, International Recruitment Agent of the International Relations Office of Saint Paul University, at the Cuban Embassy in Ottawa. During the meeting, the parties exchanged on the different areas for future collaboration between the Canadian higher education center and Cuba.
