Exchange of experiences Quebec-Cuba
19 October 2023. At the end of the Spanish-speaking week at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM), a conference was held on university cooperation between Cuba and Quebec in a multipolar world.
As part of the exchange, several books were presented that have been the fruit of collaboration between Canadian and Cuban teachers.
Celebration of Cuba´s National Culture Day from the Cuban Embassy in Canada
On the night of October 19, the headquarters of EmbacubaCanadá dressed in Cuban, as part of the celebrations of Cuba´s National Culture Day. The event was attended by Cubans living in Canada, members of solidarity, and other friends of Cuba.

As part of the Cuba´s National Culture Day, on the evening of October 18 a meeting took place at the Cuban Embassy in Canada with members of the Canadian-Cuban Friendship Parliamentary Group, Canadian officials, businessmen, intellectuals and other friends of Cuba.
Third session of the Quebec Cuba Working Group
The Third Session of the Quebec Cuba Working Group was held in Quebec City. The Cuban delegation was headed by Alba Rosa Alarcón, Director General of International Cooperation of MINCEX, Ambassador Héctor Igarza and Consul General in Montreal, Susana Malmierca.
The Quebec side was presided by Marie-Josée Audet, Director General for the Americas, who was accompanied by Matheau Parenteau, Director for the Americas.
Cuban feature film "El Mayor" is presented in Toronto.
Along with a varied selection of films by different Latin American filmmakers, Cuba had its space at the Toronto Latin American Film Festival with the feature film "El Mayor", by the late Cuban film director Rigoberto López Pego. The film was preceded by the promotional spot of “Cuba Única” tourism campaign, coordinated by the Consulate to be screened before each film at the Festival.
