Vigil in Vancouver against the U.S. blockade of Cuba
On December 16, 2022, Friends of Cuba Against the U.S. Blockade-Vancouver is organizing a candlelight vigil against the cruel U.S. blockade on Cuba. The action will be joined by Carlos Lazo, the Cuban American founder and leader of Puentes de Amor.
The Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participates in Human Rights Day event
On Human Rights Day, the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated in the "Encounter for Peace" Colloquium held at the Latin American Center in Toronto, as part of an initiative of a group of Latin American intellectuals based in that city.
The event was attended by members of Cuba solidarity groups, Latin American artists, and intellectuals, who paid tribute to social fighter Hebe Bonafini, president of the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo. The participants condemned the dictatorships existing in the region during the last century.
Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participates in tribute to Fidel Castro on the 6th Anniversary of his physical disappearance.
A simple but moving activity was held in Toronto to pay tribute to our eternal Commander in Chief, six years after his physical disappearance. The ceremony was organized by Cuba solidarity groups.
The evening included poems by several members of the organization Poetas por la Paz (Poets for Peace), beautiful Cuban pieces performed by several musicians, documentaries and heartfelt speeches. There was also a photographic exhibition of the work of the important visual artist Albino.

In the event organized by the Palestinian House of Toronto, Consul General Jorge Yanier Castellanos, ratified Cuba's commitment to the just and noble cause of this people. In addition, a well-deserved tribute was paid to our eternal Commander in Chief.
Tribute to Fidel from the Cuban Embassy in Canada.
The Cuban Embassy in Canada paid a heartfelt tribute to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the 6th anniversary of his death. The tribute was attended by friends of Cuba and members of the mission.
During the evening, those present expressed their admiration and respect for Fidel Castro and for the work he built, constituting an example for the people of Latin America and the entire world.
Art and patriotism were the protagonists of the evening, highlighting the immortal figure of our Commander in Chief.
