Cuban feature film "Cuentos de un día más" presented in Toronto

Along with a varied proposal of different Latin American filmmakers, Cuba had its space at the Toronto Latin American Film Festival with the feature film "Cuentos de un Día Más", by renowned director Fernando Pérez.

 

After 8 years of the Festival and under the spot of the tourist campaign Cuba Única, the Consul General, Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, highlighted the importance of these scenarios for the preservation of Latin American culture and paid a well-deserved tribute to Ché on the 55th anniversary of his assassination, as one of the greatest sons of our America.

Within the framework of the Hispanic American Heritage Month in Canada, a cultural event was held in the village of Saint-Constant, belonging to the province of Quebec. The occasion was an opportunity to share the traditions that unite and at the same time diversify the culture of the countries of the region.

 

The party was attended by Susana Malmierca Benítez, Consul General in Montreal, who was able to share with the organizers of the event and other members of the diplomatic corps.

 

New Canada-Cuba Parliamentary Friendship Group created.

Ottawa, October 6, 2022. In the meeting organized by the Honorable Senator Pierrette Ringuette, vice president of that chamber of the Canadian legislative body, the new Canada-Cuba Interparliamentary Group was established.

Cuba present on Hispanic Heritage Day

Within the framework of the Latin American Heritage Month in Canada, Columbus Day was celebrated on the Canadian Parliament Hill.

 

The event was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps of Latin American countries accredited in the northern country.
