Commemoration in Toronto of the 64th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

The Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated in an event on the occasion of the 64th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution organized by the Canadian Network on Cuba, the CCFA-Toronto, the Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity Network and the Juan Gualberto Gómez Association of Cuban residents in Toronto.

The event provided an authentic Cuban atmosphere, with the display of posters, books, flags, live traditional music and many messages from those who feel themselves to be Cuban at heart.

A meeting of friendship and solidarity.

The 64th Anniversary of the Cuban Revolution was celebrated in the city of Montreal, alongside friends in solidarity with Cuba, belonging to the Communist League of Quebec, and members of the Quebec-Cuba Solidarity Concertation Table.

The occasion was favorable for recalling global importance events of the history of our nation, as well as for the cordial exchange between the participants and the Consul General, Susana Malmierca Benitez.

A new shipment of love and solidarity from Canada

A new shipment of 186kg of medical supplies was delivered in the city of Montreal, destined to Medicuba, for the people who were injured during the fire at the supertanker base in Matanzas. This new shipment was made possible thanks to the continued support of friends in solidarity including: the Cuban Community in Canada (CCC), Table de Concertation de Solidarité Québec-Cuba, Ottawa Cuba Connections, Canada Cuba Care Connection - 4C and Not just tourists Ottawa.

 

Cuban delegation participates in intense COP15 negotiations

As part of the negotiations of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP 15), being held in the city of Montreal, the Cuban delegation, headed by the Deputy Minister of CITMA, Adianez Taboada, actively participated in the High-Level Segment, being her speech the main activity of the day.

On December 16, the third ministerial consultation was held, during which our delegation reiterated its approach on that the goals should be global, based on scientific information, and ambitious but realistic.

Tribute to the Cuban Five Heroes in Toronto

The General Consulate of Cuba in Toronto participated in a virtual meeting organized by the Canadian Network on Cuba to pay tribute to the Cuban Five Heroes: Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino, Fernando González and René González.

 

Among the main speakers at the event were Issac Saney, Bill Ryan and Cuban Consul Sabdiel Lafargue, who focused his speech on the impact of the blockade as a form of terrorism against Cuba. In addition, representatives from different groups of solidarity with our nation also participated.
