Canadian Network on Cuba held its 8th Biennial Convention in Toronto.
Toronto, June 5th, 2017.- Last weekend took place a verysuccessful 8th Biennial Convention in Toronto. The delegates and alternate delegates from solidarity organizations across Canada were joined by observers and invited guests including Luis Morlote Rivas, Vice-president of UNEAC and a member Cuban National Assembly and Sandra Ramírez, Director of North America of Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
II Round of Migration Talks between Cuba and Canada
CUBA, May 29, 2017.- On June 1 and 2, 2017, the Second Round of Migration Talks between Cuba and Canada will take place in Ottawa. On the Cuban side, the talks will be chaired by Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, Director of Consular Affairs and Foreign Residents of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Canadian delegation will be headed by Mr. Jacques Cloutier, Vice-President of the Canada Border Services Agency.
Photo exhibition "Comandante" was opening in Canada.
Ottawa May 26, 2017. About one hundred people gathered this afternoon at the Cuban Embassy in Canada to attend the opening of the photographic exhibition "Comandante", composed of 31 snapshots of the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro, taken by legendary photojournalists Alberto Díaz (Korda) and Liborio Noval, already dead, along with renowned photographer and documentary filmmaker Roberto Chile, present in Ottawa for the occasion.
