The Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment and Climate Action of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Honorable Dr. Joyelle Clarke, received this morning in a courtesy visit, the Ambassador of Cuba in this Federation, David Rivero Pérez.
The Nevis Director of Disaster Management, Mr. Brian Dyer, was received at the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Saint Kitts and Nevis by Ambassador David Rivero, on the eve of his trip to Cuba, to participate in an event convened by the Intergovernmental Group of Experts on Climate Change (IPCC), within the framework of the V International Conference "For the Balance of the World", sponsored and organized by the José Martí Program of the Ministry of Culture of Cuba.
Suva, December 11. Cuba reaffirmed its solidarity with the Pacific Islands and reiterated the imperative to implement urgent actions and more ambitious commitments that contribute to mitigate or eliminate the effects of climate variations, by intervening in the High-Level Roundtable on Urgent Climate Change Action, hosted virtually by the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Secretariat.

Cuba began work to prepare its Third National Communication and First Biannual Report to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, through a project led by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment.
The International Workshop on Research, Development and Demonstration of the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN) took place on 22-23 May at the United Nations City in Copenhagen, Denmark.
