Cuban diplomats meet defenders of the environment.

Waiheke Island, January 31. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés and Consul Dalila Vázquez met on this island with Ivan Kitson, Natasha Beletzky, and Colin Beardon, who from different positions carry out meritorious work to protect the environment and the flora and fauna of this region.

Both parties presented their experiences in terms of national parks and protected areas, international cooperation, and sustainability of the projects.

Mexico will hire another 119 Cuban doctors to provide services as of January 2023

Another 119 Cuban doctors will arrive in Mexico next January to provide their specialized services, announced the director of the National Social Security Institute, Zoé Robledo.

In the morning press conference of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador at the National Palace, dedicated today to health issues, Robledo made the announcement in a recount of the Cuban doctors hired to work in the country.

He said that 491 specialists are in 11 states, in very difficult and marginal places, and help provide coverage 24/7 in the hospitals where they are stationed.

Waikato, September 5. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés and Consul Dalila Vázquez visited Te Ohaaki Marae, where they met with tribal leader Tuku Morgan and other leaders to evaluate possible forms of cooperation, mainly in the field of health.

Wellington, April 19. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés and First Secretary Dalila Vázquez met at the Embassy with Liz Remmerswaal, Vice President of "World Beyond War", who visited us with her husband.

We had an interesting exchange on the international situation and cooperation in defense of peace between Cuban and New Zealand organizations.

We established avenues for cooperation between ICAP and "World Beyond War", an organization dedicated to the search for peace.

 

GRULAC heads of mission exchange at the Cuban Embassy.

Wellington, March 25. In an informal meeting at the Embassy of Cuba, the Ambassadors of the Latin American and Caribbean Group (GRULAC) and their partners welcomed the new representatives from Brazil, H.E. Marcos Arbizu de Souza, and from Peru, H.E. José Bustinza.

We were joined by the Mayor of Wellington, H.W Andy Foster, and his wife Ann, who have been excellent hosts to the entire diplomatic corps.

In a friendly atmosphere, we exchanged ideas to jointly promote our relations with New Zealand.
