Chargé d'Affaires in Liberia makes working visit to Oniyama Hospital

Monrovia, January 28, 2020 - This morning, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez, made a working visit to Oniyama Hospital in Bushrod Island, where the Cuban doctor on mission in this country is providing medical care.
The visit also included a meeting with a graduate in Cuba who works at the Clinic and a tour of the facilities of the place.
During our stay we were able to appreciate the gratitude of patients and workers for the work done by the Cuban health professional.

The Cuban Ambassador in Saint Lucia, Alejandro Simancas Marin was received this morning by Paula James, Executive Director of this country’s Manufacturers’ Association.  At the meeting, held at the Organization’s office in the city of Castries, the Ambassador was able to get to know first-hand the existing manufacturing and production profile in this country extending over different products in the food industry, construction, among others.  They also discussed existing opportunities in the two countries for the development of trade and business relations and willingness

The Ministry of Public Health of the Republic of Cuba, committed to the solidarity and humanistic principles that have guided Cuba’s medical cooperation for 55 years, has been participating in the Program More Doctors for Brazil since its inception in August 2013.  This initiative launched by Dilma Rousseff, who was at that moment the president of the Federal Republic of Brazil, pursued the double purpose of guaranteeing medical assistance to the majority of the Brazilian people, following the principle of universal health coverage promoted by the World Health Organization.

Minister of Health of Nauru receives Cuban Medical Team

Nauru, September 22, 2018.- The Minister of Health and Medical Services of the Republic of Nauru, Honorable Charmaine Scotty, received the members of the Cuban Medical Brigade at the headquarters of their ministry, whom recently began to provide their services in this Small Island State of the Central Pacific.

Minister Scotty, took advantage of the meeting to thank, through the members of the Cuban Team, the government of Cuba for facilitating their presence in Nauru, assuring that they will signifies an unprecedented qualitative health jump for his country.

The Cuban Ambassador to Iran says goodbye

The Cuban Embassy in Tehran offered a cocktail on the occasion of the farewell of its Ambassador, Vladimir González Quesada, who returns to Cuba after four years of work in the Persian nation.

 

The event was attended by executives and officials of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, led by the Deputy Director General for the Americas, Hojatollah Soltaní, as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the country and some Iranian friends.

 

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister welcomes Cuban Ambassador

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs, Majid Takht Ravanchi, hosted a lunch in honor of Cuban Ambassador Vladimir Gonzalez Quesada, as part of his farewell.

 

By the Iranian side, the Director of the Second Department for the Americas and other officials at the Persian Foreign Ministry were also participated in the banquet. For his part, the Cuban diplomat was accompanied by the Ambassador of Nicaragua and dean of the Latin American Group, as well as the Ambassador of Ecuador and the Chargé d'Affaires of Argentina.

 

Cuban Ambassador in Nigeria received Deputy Governor of Kaduna State

 

Nigeria, May 10, 2017.Following his return to Nigeria, the Deputy Governor of the State of Kaduna was received by the Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria, Carlos Trejo Sosa, at his Residence.

The dialogue was cordial and focused on the results of the official visit to Cuba by several representatives of the Kaduna State Government, including the Commissioner of Health and the Deputy Governor, who headed the delegation.
