Ottawa, April 19, 2018.- This is to inform that the Consular Office at the Embassy of Cuba in Ottawa will soon start accepting INTERACT debit cards for the payment of consular fees. Money orders and certified checks from a Canadian bank will be accepted as usual.
As previously informed in the web site http://misiones.minrex.gob.cu/en/node/1757 and through other means, the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto will no longer accept cash as form of payment for consular fees for the services provided to the Cuban community or to foreign citizens, as of Wednesday May 2nd, 2018.
Ottawa, March 27, 2018- Today, H. E. Mrs. Josefina Vidal Ferreiro presented her Letters of Credence, accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Canada, to Governor General Julie Payette.

Senator Julian Francis, General Secretary of the Labor Party (ULP), received Cuban Ambassador Vilma Reyes Valdespino, in the company of Idalmis Brooks Beltrán, Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, on a work visit to San Vicente and the Grenadines.
Idalmis Brooks offered an overview of Cuban news, the role of the Party and youth in the process of transformation and improvement of socialism in Cuba.
