The entity, immersed in a process of refining its work and expanding its links with the outside world, considers Cuba as a point of reference in terms of attraction, legal protection and investment promotion, and in this sense wishes to expand the coordination and cooperation with its counterpart in the largest island of the Antilles.

The event was organized by solidarity associations with Cuba, among them Víctor Jara Cultural Group, Association of Cubans living in Toronto "Juan Gualberto Gómez", Toronto-Canada Friendship Association of Toronto, Friends of Cuba against the US Blockade and the Latin American and Caribbean Solidarity Network (FOCUSB and LACSN, for its acronym in English).
