Díaz-Canel: "2023 has to be a better year".

Cuba elected Vice-President of the Review Conference of the Biological Weapons Convention.

Geneva, Switzerland, November 28th, 2022.- Cuba was elected Vice-President, representing the Non-Aligned Movement, of the Ninth Review Conference of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Biological and Toxin Weapons and on their Destruction. It began today in Geneva and will be in session until December 16th.

18 new Cuban health workers arrive in Namibia.

Namibia. - On the afternoon of November 19, 2022, a group of 18 health collaborators arrived in Namibia who will join the Cuban Medical Brigade, which works in the country to provide valuable services in 16 hospitals, located in 11 of the country's regions.

The Cuban ambassador Sidenio Acosta Aday came to receive them at the Joseph A Kutako International Airport and was accompanied by officials from the Caribbean diplomatic mission and by a representation of the members of the Cuban medical brigade that works in the capital.

Cuban President begins work agenda in Algeria

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel today congratulated his Algerian counterpart, Abdelmajid Tebboune, on his birthday and thanked him for welcoming the Caribbean delegation on an official visit to Algerian soil.

Outstanding performance of the Cuban cycling team in the Caribbean Track Cycling Championship held in Trinidad and Tobago.

Port of Spain, November 14, 2022. From November 11 to 13, the Caribbean Track Cycling Championship was held in this capital, in which 11 athletes participated, 4 from the women's team and 7 from the men's team, in addition to technicians and coaches. During the first day in the team pursuit, both the women's and men's teams obtained first place and with it their qualification for the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC).

Namibian Press. New Era: “Geingob: Cuba embargo a crime.”

Namibia.- President Hage Geingob has described the embargo that the United States of America has maintained against Cuba for more than six decades as a crime. He said this yesterday when Cuban Army Corps General Joaquín Quintas Solá and his delegation paid him a visit at State House.

“How should Americans feel when a child is born, but by the age of 50 or so, the only thing he or she knows is a blockade? The person will be asking why this is happening – that is a crime - there is no peace,” Geingob told the visiting delegation.

Integration as the basis for the realization of any common project leading to economic progress and the well-being of the peoples of the region was a premise defended at the inaugural session of the VI Conference on International Cooperation of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), which was attended by the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, and the member of the Political Bureau and Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.

WINDHOEK, 10 NOV (NAMPA) – President Hage Geingob has welcomed a delegation from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba aimed at strengthening Namibia and Cuba’s bilateral armed force relations.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by the delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Revolutionary Armed Forces, Army Corps General Joaquín Quintas Solá at State House on Thursday, Geingob said progressive forces are under siege and Cuba’s determination to continue resisting geopolitical pressures is encouraging to Namibia.
