Cuba Receives Messages of Congratulations on the 63 Anniversary of the Revolution

Russia’s Vladimir Putin congratulated Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel, Army General Raul Castro and the people of Cuba for the 63rd anniversary of the triumph of the Socialist Revolution to be marked January 1st. 

According to the Cuban Foreign Ministry, Putin wished happy year’s end festivities and prosperity for the year 2022 for the Cuban people and he went on to stressed the development of bilateral relations between Moscow and Havana calling it an Integral Strategic Association.

Namibia, January 1st, 2022- H.E. Dr. Hage Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia, called for the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, in his speech to the Namibian people for the end of the year 2021. In the same way, he called for the improvement of relations between the United States and Cuba.

Namibia, November 18, 2021- On the 5th anniversary of the death of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro, Cubans and Namibians paid tribute to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, at the elementary school that bears his name, in the Katutura neighborhood, located in the capital Windhoek.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba supports Nicaragua's decision to denounce the Charter of the Organization of American States (OAS) and to resign from this Organization.

The OAS has remained silent on many occasions when coups d'état have taken place in our region. It has also been an accomplice to attempts at isolation and military interventions and has supported economic aggressions.

Namibia Cuba Friendship Association has welcomed the good news of the total reopening of the Cuban borders and we join our Cuban friends in celebrating the successes of the Cuban Scientist, those that have developed three vaccines, while other two vaccines are candidates against the novel coronavirus. 79.1% of the Cuban population have been fully vaccinated while 88.6% has received their first doses. Cuba is the first country of the world, which has started a vaccination campaign among children over two years of age.
