Namibia, November 13th, 2021- Aldo Luis Fuentes Acosta, Chargé d'Affaires a.i of the Cuban Embassy in Namibia, received members of the Namibia-Cuba Friendship Association, led by Cecilia Muzile, its secretary general. The union leader Herbert Jauch, director of the Friendship Association with Venezuela, was also present.

Namibia, November 12th, 2021- Members of the different brigades of Cuban cooperation in Namibia and representatives of the Embassy of Cuba in that African country, led by Aldo Luis Fuentes Acosta, Charge d'Affaires a.i. from the island's diplomatic headquarters, held a dialogue with students and teachers from the “Fidel Castro Ruz” elementary school.

Namibia, November 11th, 2021- Aldo Luis Fuentes Acosta, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Cuba in Namibia, participated in the TV program “Good Morning Namibia”, on the national radio and television network NBC, where he explained the process of opening the Cuban borders to international tourism and the return to normality of the country, gradually and maintaining attention on COVID-19.

Demonstrations have been announced to take place in Cuba on November 15. In the corporate-controlled media, including social media platforms, and among leading circles of both the Republican and Democratic parties in the United States, the demonstrations are being touted as a spontaneous protest against Cuban government policies. The fact that the Havana city administration has denied the protest leaders a permit is represented as a despotic, anti-people act.

Namibia, October 29th, 2021- With the presence of Sidenio Acosta, Ambassador of Cuba to Namibia, and other officials of the Diplomatic Mission, the change at the Economic and Commercial Office was made official, when Councillor Juan Carlos Oliva Núñez handed over his positon to Councillor Yamila Martínez Abreu.

New Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Cuban Embassy arrives in Namibia.

Namibia, October 22, 2021- Yamila Martínez Abreu, an official of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of the Republic of Cuba, arrived in Namibia to assume the position of Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Cuban Embassy in this African country. Martínez Abreu will replace Juan Carlos Oliva Núñez, who has served in the position, with satisfactory results, for 5 years.

Dignity, resilience and unity are our greatest strengths in the face of the dishonest and mean annexationist action that serves the interests of the historical enemy of the Cuban nation in its attempt to fragment and divide us to defeat us.

After tough months of pandemic, harsh global economic crisis and a tightened and sustained blockade  –that has ostensibly affected our people-, Cuba has started to revive its social life, public places and services, schools, tourism and other sectors of the economy.
