Dignity, resilience and unity are our greatest strengths in the face of the dishonest and mean annexationist action that serves the interests of the historical enemy of the Cuban nation in its attempt to fragment and divide us to defeat us.
After tough months of pandemic, harsh global economic crisis and a tightened and sustained blockade –that has ostensibly affected our people-, Cuba has started to revive its social life, public places and services, schools, tourism and other sectors of the economy.
Monrovia, October 10, 2021 - This Sunday morning, the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, headed by the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, commemorated the 153rd anniversary of the beginning of the war for the independence of Cuba.
With La Demajagua and the other uprisings, the decision of sacrifice and intransigence of the Cubans to achieve independence at whatever cost was necessary was evidenced.

The Widow, Comrade Lidya de La Lastra
Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in Namibia
37 Quenta Str., Ludwigsdorf
Dear Comrade Lidya de La Lastra and the Entire Bereaved Family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing on of your beloved husband and a Veteran of our National Liberation Struggle, Comrade Orestes Valdivia, affectionately known as “Primo” on Thursday, 30 September 2021.
Monrovia, October 6, 2021 - On the Day of the Victims of State Terrorism we remember with deep sorrow the horrendous crime of Barbados in 1976, date in which the people of Cuba mourned because of the destruction of a CUBANA plane in mid-flight that took the lives of 73 people on board.
Only the courage of a leader, only the warmth of a wounded people, compact and firm after the news, kept the relatives of the victims on their feet.
Monrovia, September 28, 2021 - Marked again by the Covid-19 pandemic and the need to comply with the protective measures recommended by the health authorities, on September 28, all Cuba celebrates the 61st anniversary of the creation of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution, the largest mass organization in the country.
Namibia, September 23rd, 2021- H.E. Dr. Hage Geingob, President of the Republic of Namibia, called, once again, for the end of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, in his speech at the General Debate of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Monrovia, September 21, 2021 - The Cuban Head of Mission in the Republic of Liberia Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera received at the headquarters of our diplomatic mission in Monrovia, the Minister for American Affairs of the Liberian Foreign Ministry Honorable Maxwell P. Vah.
They had a timely and friendly exchange in which prevailed the interest of both parties in the periodic follow-up to multilateral and bilateral issues.
We have closely followed the most recent events in the European Parliament and have noted with disgust that the same faction of MEPs subservient to Washington have contrived to schedule a new debate on Cuba on September 16 next, dragging with them the political groupings to which they belong. This action once again turns the Parliament into a pawn in maneuvers of escalating aggression that is contrary to genuinely European interests and to the respectful dialogue that has characterized Cuba-EU relations.
