Cuba's President tours economic objectives in Santa Clara

President Miguel Díaz-Canel today toured economic objectives in this city, as a deputy to the National Parliament, to follow up on issues of interest to the local population.

In his first stop, the president talked with Ihosvany Orozco, manager of the micro, small and medium-sized state-owned commercial enterprise Antena S.U.R.L., which manufactures professional and domestic antennas, as well as metal ladders made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), plastic and aluminum.

Cuban President thanks congratulations for his reelection.

In a message broadcast on Tiwtter, the president expressed his gratitude for the congratulations from colleagues, personalities, representatives of Latin American integration organizations and other people in different latitudes for his reelection, the day before, by the recently installed Parliament.

Díaz-Canel reaffirmed that he will work to maintain the unity of the nation, convinced of the enormous challenges that the post entrusted to him by the National Assembly implies.

Cuba and Liberia celebrate 49th anniversary of uninterrupted relations.

Monrovia, April 19, 2023 - The Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Liberia are celebrating today the 49th anniversary of the establishment of their bilateral relations, which have been uninterrupted and characterized by cordiality and mutual support on issues on the international agenda.

Throughout these decades, the ties between both nations have reflected the will to preserve and strengthen the fraternal ties that unite both countries.

Cuban President to participate in anti-violence meeting

Santa Clara, Cuba, Apr 14 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel announced that he will participate today in this city in a women's dialogue for non-violence against gender violence.

"I will join this important meeting for a Cuba without violence against women. Much has been done by the Revolution on this issue and much battle is still to be fought. We are all summoned," the president wrote on his Twitter account.

Ambassador of Cuba to Czech Republic presents Copies of Style

Prague, April 11, 2023.- The Ambassador of Cuba to Czech Republic, Saylín Martínez Tarrío, presented to the director of Diplomatic Protocol, Markéta Ŝarbochová, the Copies of Style of the Letter of Credence accrediting her as Cuba's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to this country. During the cordial meeting, the official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic conveyed topics of interest about the protocol and the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the country.

Guáimaro Constitution: 154 years of Cuba's first Magna Carta

The Constitution of Guáimaro, Cuba's first magna carta celebrates today 154 years of its approval, fruit of the stages of struggles for national liberation against Spanish colonialism.

Drafted during the Assembly of Guáimaro, in the current province of Camagüey, the fundamental law gathered the rights and aspirations of the Cuban independence movement and meant that every revolutionary process should also have its juridical expression.

Speaker of the Liberian House of Representatives receives Cuban Head of Mission.

Monrovia, April 5, 2023 - At the Capitol of Monrovia, the Speaker of the Liberian House of Representatives and third in command in the African country, Dr. Bhofal Chambers, received the Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

The meeting took place in a fraternal and cordial atmosphere where both parties discussed matters of interest to the parliaments of both nations.

Cuba congratulates its youth on the anniversaries of their organizations

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated today the members of the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM) and the Young Communist League (UJC) on the occasion of their 62nd and 61st anniversaries, respectively.

In his Twitter profile, the Cuban leader defined these militants as hope and future of the nation. "We come from the @OPJMCuba and the @UJCdeCuba and we feel part of you," he said.

Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez and other leaders of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Government also congratulated the pioneers and young Cubans on their day.

Cuban Deputy Minister's official visit to Liberia ends successfully.

Monrovia, March 22, 2023.- Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Elio Rodríguez Perdomo paid a working visit to the Republic of Liberia, during which he held meetings with important authorities of the African country.

The Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister was received, among other Liberian leaders, by the Vice President of the Republic, Jewel Howard Taylor, the Speaker of Parliament, Bhofal Chambers, and the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Deweh E. Gray.
