CARICOM DENOUNCES THE REINFORCEMENT OF US BLOCKADE AGAINST CUBA

In light of the recent measures, announced by the United States, the Twenty-second Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community relations (COFCOR), agreed to issue the statement, attached to the official Communiqué of its 22nd meeting (May 13-14 in Granada), in which it reiterates the firm support of the Community for the lifting of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.

Deputy Foreign Ministers of Cuba and Finland Hold Official Talks

Helsinki, May 14th, 2019 – The First Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, was received this Tuesday in the headquarters of the Finish Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Matti Anttonen, Permanent State Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland, on the occasion of the visit of the Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister to this European country.

First Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba begins an official tour to Nordic countries

CUBA, May 10th, 2019 – On May 12th, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Cuba, Marcelino Medina González, will begin a working tour to the Republic of Finland, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Sweden, and the Republic of Lithuania.

During his tour, the First Deputy Foreign Minister will chair the bilateral political dialogue with each of the counterparts' foreign ministries, and will be received by personalities of their respective governments and foreign ministries, with whom he will discuss issues of common interest of the bilateral and international agendas.(Cubaminrex)

The Cuban revolution reiterates its firm determination to face the escalation in aggression by the United States

Declaration of the Revolutionary Government

Today, the 17th of April, we celebrate another anniversary of the start of the military aggression at the Bay of Pigs (Playa Girón) in 1961. The decisive response of the Cuban people in defense of the Revolution and socialism resulted in the first military defeat of imperialism in the Americas, in just 72 hours.

Oddly enough, it is the date chosen by the current government of the United States to announce the adoption of new aggressive measures against Cuba and to reinforce the application of the Monroe Doctrine.

Cuban ambassador speaks about Cuban Tourism development on Kuwait´s Television

The Cuban Ambassador Fernando Pérez recieved the State Television of Kuwait, where a presentation of the development of tourism in Cuba was recorded, for this intervention, His Excellency was supported by a video on main destinations visited by tourists.

This presentation will be transmitted by the Kuwaiti Television on the first week of May during the celebrations of Ramadan, since in the video the ambassador also congratulates the Kuwaities on the occasion of the month of Muslim fasting.

Helsingissä 28.3.2019. Helsingissä sijaitseva elokuvateatteri WHS Teatteri Unioni esittää 27.3. lähtien laajan kattauksen kuubalaisia elokuvia Kuuban vallankumouksen 60-vuotis juhlavuoden kunniaksi. Samalla juhlistetaan myös Kuuban elokuvainstituutin ICAIC:n 60-vuotis juhlavuotta sekä sitä, että kuuluisan kuubalaisen ohjaajan Santiago Álvarezin syntymästä on kulunut 100 vuotta. Kuubalaisten elokuvien sarja jatkuu aina 11.9. saakka

Cuba condemns the terrorist sabotage against the power supply system in Venezuela

The Revolutionary Government strongly condemns the sabotage perpetrated against the power supply system in Venezuela, which is a terrorist action intended to harm the defenseless population of an entire nation and turn it into a hostage of the non-conventional war launched by the government of the United States against the legitimate government headed by comrade Nicolás Maduro Moros and the civic and military union of the Bolivarian and Chavista people.

Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs rejects in the strongest terms the new escalation in the US aggressive behavior against Cuba.

The US State Department announced today the decision to allow, as from March 19 this year, the filing of lawsuits before US courts under Title III of the Helms-Burton Act only against Cuban companies included in the List of Restricted Entities issued by that government on November of 2017, which was updated one year later. This arbitrary and illegitimate list, intended to tighten the blockade and expand its extraterritorial effects, forbids US citizens from engaging in direct financial transactions with the aforementioned entities.

THE CONSTITUTION TO WHICH CUBA GAVE A RESOUNDING "YES" IN THE REFERENDUM, IS THE SUPREME CONFIRMATION OF THE CONTINUITY OF THE REVOLUTIONARY PROCESS IN THE NEW CUBAN GENERATIONS

The Ambassador of Cuba in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, gave an interview to the journalist of the WeFM-999 Radio station, Shenon Marshall , about the new Constitution of the Republic of Cuba, approved in the Referendum of March 24, 2019.

The radio program on the Cuban Constitution was broadcasted by the WEFM-99 radio station at noon.

The diplomat began with a brief historical excursion on the rich constitutional tradition of Cuba and the texts that preceded the current fundamental law.
