As was stated in the Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba on August 29, 2019, the government of the United States has deployed, as from last year, an intensive and defamatory campaign against the medical cooperation offered by Cuba, which adds to the threats of sanctions against Cuban leaders and pressures exerted on recipient States to make them dispense with said cooperation.

A delegation from the National Assembly of the People´s Power of Cuba (ANPP), headed by the parliamentarian Andrés Castro Alegría, president of the Committee on Education, Culture, Science, Technology and Environment, completed a working program in Lithuania, which included meetings with the Parliament and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Baltic country.

Cambodians of several generations gathered to commemorate together the 500th anniversary of the foundation of Havana, a city that has welcomed students from different latitudes for decades, an expression of the solidarity vocation of the Cuban Revolution, despite the US blockade. Although many of the attendees studied in provinces such as Pinar del Río, Villa Clara or Santiago de Cuba, they retain beautiful memories of their passage through the capital of all Cubans.
