On December 6, 2021 Cuban Ambassador Sergio Jorge Pastrana, took part in the weekly section of the daily Journal Mornin' Barbados at CBC-8 TV dedicated to CARICOM in order to showcase the celebration of CARICOM-Cuba Day next December 8 in commemoration of the start of the 50th year of diplomatic relations of Cuba with the four first independent countries of the English speaking Caribbean: Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad, led respectively by Fidel Castro, Erroll Barrow, Forbes Burnham, Michael Manley and Eric Wiliams.

Cuban diplomats accompany the Minister of Culture at the inauguration of the Arts and Crafts Festival as part of the Celebration of the Day of Independence in Barbados.

As part of the celebrations for the independence day in Barbados, the diplomats from Cuba and Venezuela participated accompanying the Minister of Culture in the inauguration of the Handicrafts Fair in Pelícan Village, an installation of small shops at the entrance to the city from the cruise ship dock.

The Cuban Ambassador in Barbados held a working meeting with the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados.

The Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Barbados, Donna Forde, received the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Sergio Jorge Pastrana, at the Foreign Ministry to exchange on the relations between both countries.
