Azerbaijani young people paid tribute to the legacy of Ernesto Che Guevara on the 50th anniversary of his fall in combat, in a meeting held between members of the New Azerbaijan youth organization with the Cuban ambassador in Baku, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo.
In the tribute, the Cuban diplomat stressed that Che is a paradigm for many young people in the world who fight for dignity and human dignity.
Cuba is working to provide safety to the over 51 thousands tourists that are currently vacationing in the island, especially to those 36 thousand tourists staying in vulnerable areas of the North coast, where Hurricane Irma is expected to hit the hardest.

Apia, September 4, 2017.- A Cuban delegation headed by the Director-General of bilateral affairs, Gerardo Peñalver Portal, arrived last night in this capital, to take part in the 48th Edition of the Pacific Islands Forum.
The Cuban diplomat kicked off activities Monday morning, being received by CEO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Samoa, Peseta Noumea Simi. Mr. Peñalver Portal expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and acknowledge the excellent organization of this event, which will last until Friday, September 8th.
Wellington, August 17, 2017. -Thanks to the support of Otahuhu College, Cuban artist Osemivy Ortega is taking part in the creation of a mural that will be displayed at Auckland International Airport.
The work is being prepared at the College of the homonym suburb of Auckland city. This school stands out for its quality in the teaching of the Visual Arts, among whose group of teachers is Malcolm McCallister, also a member of the Cuba Friendship Society.

Ambassador Alzugaray addressed also the major interests that guide the work of the Embassy of Cuba in Wellington, highlighting the importance attached by his country to New Zealand development experiences, with emphasis in the livestock sector.
