Ulaanbaatar, May 3, 2017. A conference about the thought of Fidel Castro Ruz and his Influence on the Cuban diplomacy was held at the School of International Relations and Public Administration of the National University of Mongolia this morning. This conference was imparted by Cuban Ambassador Raul Delgado Concepcion as part of the well-deserved homage and remembrance of the figure of Fidel and the validity of his ideas in Cuban foreign policy.
From April 28th until May 5th, a delegation from Finlay Institute for Vaccines is paying an important work visit to the Persian nation, responding to an invitation from the Pasteur Institute of Iran.
The Cuban delegation, headed by Dr. Yaneli Herrera, is exchanging with its Iranian counterpart and host with views to study the possibilities and conditions to expand the historic bilateral collaboration in the medical-scientific field, and to make a proposal for technological transfer to produce human vaccines.
Former premier Antigua and Barbuda, Winston Baldwin Spencer exchanged with Fernando González Llort, Hero of the Republic of Cuba and president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), on his visit to that institution.
Both Baldwin Spencer and the delegation that accompanied him received extensive information from Fernando related to the work of ICAP and the struggles in which the Cuban social institution accompanied by the International Movement of Solidarity with Cuba is immersed.
Banjul, April 28, 2017.- A group of young Gambians who recently finished their studies under the New Community Based Medical Program, visited the Embassy of Cuba where they held a meeting with the Cuban ambassador, Lázaro Herrera. During the meeting, the junior doctors expressed their highest appreciation for the valuable assistance provided by Cuba and reaffirmed their commitment to dedicate all their efforts to providing services to their fellow citizens in the most remote corners of the country.
The solemn ceremony was organized by the Cuban National Authority for the implementation of the Convention and was chaired by José Fidel Santana Núñez, Vice-Minister of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA), Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, Director General of ACNU and Alba Guillén Campos, representative of the Director General of the Office of Environmental Regulation and Nuclear Safety.
The 13th European Business and Investment Forum (Iconvienna 2017) was held in the Federal Economic Chamber of Vienna. There were presented the business opportunities in Latin American and the Caribbean in the margins of the event. Likewise, Cuba´s foreign investment opportunities, essentially, in Mariel Special Development Zone as well as in the renewable energy sector and some other prioritized areas were highlighted.
