Declaration by the Revolutionary Government

For several years, it had been a permanent interest of the Cuban government to adopt a new immigration agreement with the United States to solve the serious problems that continued to affect migration relations, despite the existence of bilateral agreements in this área.

This agreement removes the commonly known "dry feet-wet feet" policy and the provisional admission program (parole) for Cuban health professionals, which Washington applied in third countries.

Chairman of the State Great Hural (Parliament) of Mongolia Mr. M.Enkhbold, received the Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción at the Government Palace in the city of Ulaanbaatar, pointing out the good state of relations between them Countries and the impetus given by the visit of Mongolia President T. Elberdorj in September 2016.

Cuban president expressed his condolences on the death of Ayatollah Rafsanjani

Army General Raul Castro Ruz, president of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, sent a message to his counterpart Hassan Rouhani, president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to express condolences after the death on January 8th of Ayatollah Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, former Iranian president and one of the historic leaders of the 1979’s Islamic Revolution.

In his message, the Cuban dignitary asked to extend his sympathies to the relatives of the late Iranian leader.

The Cuban Ambassador meets with Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sport and the Minister of Health of Mongolia.

Ulaan Bator, January 9, 2017. The Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Sports, Mr. J. Batsuuri, received at the headquarters of that institution the Cuban Ambassador Raúl Delgado Concepción, and thanked the cooperation that Cuba has offered to Mongolia on scholarships for higher education for young Mongols.

58th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution celebrated with Iranian authorities

Cuban Ambassador Vladimir González Quesada offered a work lunch at his Residence to several Iranian authorities of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education -as counterpart of the Intergovernmental Commission- and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to celebrate the 58th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and to review bilateral relations.

Austrian Former President Calls for Closer Links with Cuba

Austrian Former President Heinz Fischer has stated that he is in favor of improving relations between his country and Cuba, the Cuban embassy in Vienna reports today.

In a message circulated by the embassy, Fischer said that he supported an increase in cooperation in political and cultural sectors and also in trade, which he said had a lot of potential.
