Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism of Liberia congratulates Cuba on Cuban Culture Day.

Monrovia, October 20, 2020 - This afternoon, the Head of the Cuban Diplomatic Mission in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism of the Republic of Liberia, Hon. Ledgerhood J. Rennie.

During the meeting, which was arranged as a celebration of the "Day of Cuban Culture", one of the topics that prevailed was Cuban culture, its origin and determining role of the Cuban revolution in cultural development.

Monrovia, October 20, 2020 - The collective of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia greets the Day of Cuban Culture, with typical Cuban clothing, and singing with one voice, the notes of our National Anthem. 

Today Cuba celebrates its cubania. It is a commemoration that goes beyond applauding the fact of being born on an island surrounded by sea, we celebrate our identity, our values and our universality.

Monrovia, October 17, 2020 - This Saturday, members of the Liberia-Cuba Friendship Association participated in the virtual event "Solidarity vs. Blockade" in which they condemned the damage caused by the genocidal measure of the United States to the cultural sector of our island.

Cuban Embassy in Liberia receives the Advisor to the Foreign Minister for American Affairs.

Monrovia, October 15, 2020.- In the morning, our diplomatic mission in Liberia received the visit of the Advisor to the Chancellor for American Affairs Hon. Maxwell P. Vah, who had an exchange with the Cuban Chargé d'Affaires in the West African country Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera.

In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, various aspects of the bilateral and multilateral relations were discussed, and hopes were made to maintain their good status.

Monrovia, September 24, 2020 - The Nobel Peace Prize winner Ellen Johnson Sirleaf decided to refer to the board of the Nobel Prize Committee the proposal that the International Contingent of Physicians for Disasters and Serious Epidemics "Henry Reeve" be registered among the candidates and awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

Cuban Embassy in Liberia pays tribute to Henry Reeve Medical Brigade on the 15th anniversary of its creation

Monrovia, September 19, 2020 - On a day like today in 2005, Commander Fidel Castro established an organization that has no precedent in the world until today: The Henry Reeve International Contingent of Doctors Specialized in Disaster Situations and Serious Epidemics.

Monrovia, September 17, 2020 - Young Liberians united with the collective of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia participated in the virtual event "Solidarity vs. Blockade", where they denounced the genocidal sanctions imposed on Cuba by the government of the United States.

Organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), the event included excellent interventions by friends from Ghana, Iran, Australia, El Salvador, and Timorese students, among others.
