Foreign Minister Asistant for American Affairs reiterates Liberia's support for Cuba's fight against the blockade.

Monrovia, September 16, 2020 - The Foreign Minister's Advisor for American Affairs at the Liberian Foreign Ministry, the Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, received in his office the Cuban Chief of Mission in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera.

Among the various topics discussed, a vital issue was the tightening of the US economic, commercial and financial blockade against Cuba during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Cuba's Head of Mission in Liberia was received at the Foreign Ministry by the Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, Assistant Minister for American Affairs.

Monrovia, September 16, 2020 - The Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, was received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, Assistant Minister for the Americas.

In the meeting that took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, topics of interest for both countries were discussed.

Among the issues discussed was the situation of Cuba in front of COVID-19, and challenges imposed by the current pandemic.

Liberia participated in the Virtual Forum dedicated to the 94th Birthday of the Commander in Chief.

Monrovia, August 12, 2020 - Young Liberians joined the staff of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia to participate in the virtual forum of young graduates in Cuba dedicated to the Commander in Chief's 94th birthday.

Organized by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP), the event had excellent interventions of young people from Ghana, Mozambique, Nigeria, Palestine, among others, who dedicated their words of gratitude to the leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Monrovia, August 9, 2020 - On the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the birth of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution on August 13, the Cuban Embassy in Liberia inaugurated the photographic exhibition "ALWAYS FIDEL", dedicated to the undefeated Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.

The exhibition features photographs from different aspects of the Cuban leader's life and reflects the multiple and diverse image of Fidel Castro that will always remain in the minds of Cubans and inspire each generation with his legacy.

Cuban President and Chancellor sends congratulatory message to the Republic of Liberia on Independence Day.

Monrovia, July 26, 2020 - President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez congratulated their respective Liberian counterparts on the occasion of the 173rd anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of this West African nation.

Díaz-Canel extended cordial congratulations to the President of Liberia, George Manneh Weah.

A similar message was sent by the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs to Liberian Foreign Minister Gbehzohngar Milton Findley on the occasion of this nation's Independence Day.
