Kuala Lumpur, March 23, 2025. The local cultural project "International Rueda de Casino," Cuban residents in Malaysia, and the Ambassador and Consul of the Caribbean island in this Asian country, staged a Flash Mob this Sunday afternoon demonstrating that Casino is also danced in Malaysia.

The values ​​and richness of Cuban culture have crossed borders, and its contagious rhythms, such as Casino, are enjoyed and taught by dance academies in Kuala Lumpur.

Ambassador Mrs. Beatriz Parra González was grateful for his ideas and concepts for the cultural evening ot the 66th Anniversary of the Triumph of Revolution. It was appreciated his interest in highlighting the cultural values ​​of Cuba in this celebration in Finland that will count with recognized artists of both countries.

Tribute to Cuban Culture in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, October 28, 2024 – Since October 20, Malaysia has been hosting a Journey dedicated to Cuban Culture in Malaysia, which has stood out for activities and events showcasing the cultural richness of Cuba. During the journey, the public had the opportunity to enjoy various artistic and cultural manifestations that highlighted Cuban cultural heritage and also served as a tribute to those who carry the art of this island around the world.

Cuban Embassy in Seychelles invited to United Nations Day celebration

Victoria, October 24._ Organized by the University of Seychelles, the Cuban Embassy participated in the celebration of the United Nations Day. This year the Cuban diplomatic representation was a special guest at the celebration of this important date, in the framework of which an exhibition about the Cuban culture was presented.

On this occasion, materials about our traditions, music, literature, plastic arts and videos of the main tourist destinations of the Big Island  of the Antilles were exhibited.

On their fourth visit to the northern country, the members of this talented group of children performed in Tampa, New York, and Washington DC, the capital, where they received the respect and affection of the public.

The last presentation was at the Cuban Embassy in the United States. La Cucarachita Martina, the well-known children's story passed down from generation to generation, was the story in the version of these cheerful “bees” to say goodbye.

The first edition Festival of the Great South is celebrated in Ethiopia

An evening dedicated to Cuban Culture took place in Kuala Lumpur

The Cuban Embassy in Kuala Lumpur and the Friends of Cuba Association in Malaysia (FOCA) organized an evening dedicated to Cuban Culture this Friday, May 3.
The event was attended by FOCA members, and a group of ambassadors accredited to Malaysia, as well as figures from the foreign ministry and government of this Southeast Asian country, were also invited.

Latin American Film Festival will take place in the Malaysian state of Sarawak

Following a visit by Latin American ambassadors to Kuching, it was decided that the Latin American Film Festival (LAFF) will be held for the first time this year in that city, capital of the State of Sarawak, Malaysia.

The Cuban ambassador to Malaysia, Florentino Batista González, highlighted that the festival will be the first step of cooperation in the exchange of projects between Sarawak and Latin American countries.

Cuban Head of Mission holds exchange with Ambassador of Culture of Liberia.

Monrovia, September 9, 2023 - Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera held a fraternal meeting with Traditional Queen Juli Endee, Ambassador of Culture of the Republic of Liberia, with whom she exchanged on cultural identity, traditions, and the possibility of building cultural bridges between the two nations.

Cuban presence at the Den Bosch Jazz Festival, in the South of the Netherlands

Den Bosch, May 28, 2023. Representatives of the Embassy of Cuba in the Netherlands were present at the Jazz Festival in Den Bosch, capital of the province Brabant North in the south part of the Netherlands.

It was a good opportunity to exchange with the President of the Festival, Mr. Stef Thijssen, regarding possible cooperation and exchanges between Cuban and Dutch musical ensemble which promote Jazz.
