Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources of Namibia receives Cuban collaborators.

The Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources of Namibia, Bernard Esau, received at the headquarters of that ministry six Cuban aquaculture experts, who work in this country. The collaborators were accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Namibia, Giraldo Mazola.

Minister Esau referred to the aquaculture plans that will be developed in different regions of the country and the challenges they face, as well as praised the work done by the group of Cuban experts and expressed their interest in strengthening and expanding this collaboration.

In the same way, the Minister and the Ambassador highlighted the magnificent bonds of friendship and solidarity existing between both governments and peoples.

The Prime Minister of Namibia, Hon. Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila, received the Cuban ambassador, Giraldo Mazola, to exchange details about her upcoming visit to Havana. The Namibian Premier will travel to Cuba to fulfil an invitation made by Army General Raul Castro.

During her stay in the Caribbean country, the also member of the Political Bureau of SWAPO, will review with the Cuban counterpart the excellent state of political and cooperation relations.

Likewise, it is expected to hold meetings with young Namibians who are studying medicine and other specialties in Cuba.

The visit will help to further strengthen the historic ties of friendship between both nations.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Peya Mushelenga, and other officials of the Foreign Ministry and the Office of the Prime Minister.
