Nigeria, October 14, 2022.- Coinciding with the Cuban celebrations for the National Culture Day on October 20, a set of cultural activities that reflect the historical links between the cultures of the African country and the Caribbean island are taking place in Abuja, Nigeria.

Nigeria, October 13, 2022.- At the headquarters of the residence of the Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, a large group of Nigerian executives from the parliament, the Foreign Ministry, scientific agencies and businessmen from the health sector.

The meeting was conducive to addressing issues of common interest, exchanging and strengthening the bonds of friendship and collaboration among those present, as well as evaluating the work prospects of the bilateral agenda.

Pulido Escandell, was received by Ambassador Samson Itegboye, Director of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria. The moment was propitious to address issues of common interest, they also discussed regional and international news. The exchange took place in a cordial atmosphere, a reflection of the relations between the two countries.

Miguel Díaz Canel Bermúdez, president of the Republic of Cuba, sent a congratulatory message to his Nigerian counterpart, Muhammadu Buhari, on the occasion of the celebrations for the 62nd anniversary of the independence of this sister African country, this October 1. In the letter, the Cuban President also reiterated the will to continue strengthening friendly relations between our countries.
