Cuban artist takes part in mural to be exhibited at Auckland Airport.

Wellington, August 17, 2017. -Thanks to the support of Otahuhu College, Cuban artist Osemivy Ortega is taking part in the creation of a mural that will be displayed at Auckland International Airport.

The work is being prepared at the College of the homonym suburb of Auckland city. This school stands out for its quality in the teaching of the Visual Arts, among whose group of teachers is Malcolm McCallister, also a member of the Cuba Friendship Society.

Minister Maggie Barry expresses support for broader exchanges with Latin America.

Wellington, 23 June 2017. In a friendly meeting held at the Embassy of Cuba with the heads of Mission of the GRULAC, the Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage, Maggie Barry, expressed her support for a greater exchange between New Zealand and Latin American nations.

During the event, the Ambassador of Cuba, Mario Alzugaray, offered details about the Latina America and Spain Film Festival (LASFF), which in its 2017 edition will have its inauguration at Te Papa Museum on October 20th, with the screening of the film "Cuba Libre", by Jorge Luis Sánchez filmmaker.

Toronto-Cuba Friendship Day and Culture day celebrated in Toronto

 

Toronto, October 24th, 2016. The 21st edition of the Toronto Cuba Friendship Day and the Cuban Culture Day were held at the Toronto Steelworkers Hall, organized by the Canadian Cuban Friendship Association of Toronto (CCFA- Toronto) and the Association of Cuban Residents in Toronto "Juan Gualberto Gómez". This event was also dedicated to the 90th Birthday of the Commander Fidel Castro.
