Dominica reiterates its support for Cuba in the battle against the US blockade at the United Nations.
Dominica, September 25, 2016. The Chancellor of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Honorable Senator Francine Baron, reiterated the traditional support of her country to the lifting of the US blockade against Cuba, during the High-Level Segment of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly held in New York.

INTRODUCTION
In the period between April of 2015 and April of 2016 some results have been achieved in the bilateral relations between the United States and Cuba. It can particularly be indicated the re-establishing of diplomatic relations and the re-opening of embassies that were preceded by the just action of taking Cuba off the spurious list of States sponsoring terrorism, a list on which Cuba should never have been in the first place.
Cuba and countries of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean committed to boosting bilateral relations.

The Ambassador of Cuba in Dominica, Juan Carlos Frómeta held a working meeting with the Head of the Business Unit Competitive the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) based in the capital, Mr. Marlon Marie, as well as other officials of the organization.
