Mr. Chairman,

My delegation associates itself with the statement delivered by Indonesia on behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Cuba advocates the legitimate right of all States to have access to outer space on equal conditions and without discrimination and to benefit from cooperation in terms of training and transfer of space applications and technology.

Mr. Chairman,

My delegation associates itself with the statement delivered by Indonesia on behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement.

We share the objective of the general and complete disarmament, in particular nuclear disarmament, as the top priority in this area. We must continue to call for the implementation of other international disarmament and security measures.

Cuba reiterates that the achievement of nuclear disarmament is the highest priority in the area of disarmament.

Our delegation fully supports the statement delivered by Indonesia on behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Cuba reiterates its support for the total and complete prohibition and elimination, in a transparent, verifiable and irreversible manner, of all weapons of mass destruction; the only absolute assurance to prevent the acquisition and use of such weapons, even by terrorists.

Cuba welcomes the establishment of this Open-Ended Working Group of the General Assembly, in accordance with resolution 73/27 adopted last year and the commencement of its works.

We fully support the adoption of the provisional agenda and the rules of procedure of the Open-Ended Working Group.
