We associate ourselves with the statement made by Iran on behalf of the Non-Aligned Movement.

Cuba appreciates the analysis of the Report of the Committee on Relations with the Host Country, document A/76/26.

As members of the Committee, we are working towards ensuring that it addresses, in a timely manner, all the issues that emerge from the relations between the United Nations, the Member States and the Host Country.

Treaties are the primary sources of international law and the cornerstone of rules-based international relations. They are also a more direct and formal method of international law creation. The United Nations system has played a critical role in ensuring the transparency of the treaties concluded by its Member States.

The delegation of Cuba would like to thank you for your good offices in the holding of this plenary meeting.

We also thank the Secretary-General for his efforts in preparing the latest Report on the Responsibility to Protect, on which we will make some observations.
