Movement restriction and violation of the Agreement on diplomatic privileges and immunities

We appreciate the holding of this informal meeting of the Committee on Relations with the Host Country.

Cuba supports the statement delivered by the Islamic Republic of Iran on behalf of the NAM on item 84 entitled "Report of the Special Committee on the Charter of the United Nations and on the Strengthening of the Role of the Organization".

Cuba endorses the statement delivered by the Islamic Republic of Iran on behalf of NAM.
The Government of Cuba reiterates its unavoidable commitment to promote and strengthen a genuine Rule of Law, which will undoubtedly allow us to change the current unjust international order.
We take note of the report of the Secretary-General on this item, contained in document A/74/139, entitled "Strengthening and coordinating United Nations Rule of Law activities".

First and foremost, allow me to extend our appreciation to you and to the members of the Bureau on your well-deserved election and to assure you the full cooperation and support of our delegation for the development of a fruitful seventy-fourth session of the Sixth Committee.

We appreciate the submission of the Report of the International Court of Justice covering the period from August 1, 2017 to July 31, 2018 contained in document A / 73/4. We reiterate our commitment to the strict enforcement of International Law.

We take note of the Secretary General’s Report, prepared on the basis of the remarks and observations made by the governments, contained in document A / 73/123.
