Mariel Special Development Zone is the first of its type in Cuba and enjoys a privileged geographic location, in the center of the Caribbean Sea, at the crossroads of the main maritime commercial traffic routes in the Western Hemisphere.

The Office of Mariel Special Development Zone is the entity attached to the Council of Ministers, in charge of managing the Zone, controlling its activities, elaborating and conducting its Development and Business Program.

Copenhagen - The Cuban Ambassador in Denmark, Yiliam Gómez Sardiñas, made a presentation on the business opportunities offered by the Caribbean nation at the Copenhagen Business School (CBS) on May 4. The Cuban diplomat addressed in her presentation the main actions that the Cuban government has carried out as part of the process of updating the Cuban economy, highlighting the new foreign investment law and the Portfolio of Opportunities for Foreign Investment in Cuba which includes more than 300 projects covering different sectors.
