Another week of the COVID-19 battle in Cuba began with the encouraging news of only 20 new cases and 24 medical discharges in a single day, while the government continues its daily analysis of the situation, reaffirming that despite the epidemic’s favorable development we cannot lower our guard in the slightest.
Emphasizing this premise, President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez and Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, led Monday’s meeting of the prevention and control task in the Palace of the Revolution.
Message of the CTC Cuba General Secretary to the world working class on the occasion of 2020 May Day
Havana, April 24th : Comrade Ulises Guilarte de Nacimiento, secretary general of the Cuban Workers' Headquarters (CTC) and vice-president of the World Trade Union Federation (FSM), sent a message to the working class of the world, on the occasion of the celebration of this May Day.
In his message, he conveys to the workers of the world and friendly trade union organizations, the sincere greeting of the Cuban workers. This crisis once again showed that much more can be developed between workers and peoples, the necessary solidarity, mutual and sincere support can develop.
