CONVOCATION
The people of Cuba continue theircenturies’ long struggle in the reconquest of full justice. Along this road they have given ample proof of their capacity for resistance in the face of enormous challenges. One such challenge is the economic, commercial and financial blockade which has been imposed by the United States of America and has remained in place for over fifty years.
Condemnation to the blockade of the US Government against Cuba in Guyana.
Guyana, October 20th, 2016. Local mass media provided coverage to the press conference by the Cuban Ambassador to the country, Julio César González Marchante, on the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed on the Cuban people by the US Government for more than five decades, and the resolution on this regard that Cuba will present to claim and end to this policy next October 26th, 2016, in the framework of the 71st Period of Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
ANNOUNCEMENT PROCHILDHOOD 2017
The Revolutionary National Police General Division, the International Relations and Collaboration Division and the Minors Division of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Cuba, with the sponsorship of UNICEF announce the “3rd. International Conference on Minors Protection” to be held at Palco Hotel, Havana, Cuba, from May 24th to 26th, 2017. It will gather professionals and technicians interested on the topic, aimed at promoting the exchange of experience.

40 years ago a horrendous terrorist act was committed against a civilian Cubana de Aviación aircraft that killed 73 people on board, 57 Cubans, 11 Guyanese and 5 North Koreans. An explosive charge planted by mercenaries destroyed the aircraft in midair a few minutes after takeoff from the airport in Barbados. The culprits had proven links with the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States and still enjoy impunity and protection in the territory of that country.
