Cuban poet Alex Pausides exchanged with Indian students and writers.

During the visit of Cuban poet Alex Pausides to India to participate in the International Conference on relations between Latin America and India, the poet visited the Jawaharlal Nehru University and the University of Delhi, where he held friendly exchanges with students of the two main educational centers of the country on the movement of literature and poetry in Cuba, as well as issues on the current situation of the island.

Cuban poet Alex Pausides represented Cuba at the International Conference on relations between Latin America and India, "Connected Histories, Shared Present: Intercultural Experiences between Latin America, the Caribbean and India", held in New Delhi in February. The event was organized by the cultural institutions, the International Indian Center (IIC) and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), and was attended by leading writers and academics from Latin America and the Caribbean.

Cuban film festival in India.

The Cuban film festival was inaugurated yesterday with the presentation of the film "Innocence" at the "Marwah Studios" in Noida, a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.  The inauguration was attended by Sandeep Marwah, director of the Institution and also producer, film director and President of Noida Film City, who said he was honored by the possibility of sharing and making available to the Indian public the Cuban culture through its cinema and reaffirmed his willingness to continue working to strengthen cultural relations between the two countries and establish c

Indian Minister of Education participated in the Meeting of Ministers of Education of the G77+China.


The Hon'ble Minister of Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, participated in the G77 plus China Education Ministers' Meeting held on February 2 in Havana. The central theme of the meeting was: "Science, technology and innovation for quality education. Educational challenges in the post-pandemic context". The Minister of Education addressed, virtually, educational challenges for the countries of the South in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
