Cuban Ambassador visits José Martí school in New Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 15. The Ambassador of Cuba in India, Alejandro Simancas, visited the José Martí public school in New Delhi, and had an exchange with its director Suman Kumar about the restart of the school year on the Island.

The diplomatic representative of the Caribbean country, accompanied by Kumar and a group of professors from said educational center, as well as by the Charge d' Affaires of the Cuban Embassy Juan Carlos Marcof, paid tribute to the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí in front of a bust that enhances your figure in the school areas.

Secretary General of the International Solar Alliance receives the Ambassador of Cuba in India

New Delhi, October 28, 2021. Secretary General of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), Dr. Ajay Mathur received on Thursday morning the designated Cuban Ambassador, Alejandro Simancas Marín. In a cordial meeting, both ratified the will to continue strengthening the cooperation between Cuba and ISA, in order to achieve a more efficient use of renewable energy sources, particularly solar energy.

Cuban President expresses his solidarity with India for the victims of the recent floods.

Cuba expressed its solidarity with India on the occasion of the victims caused by the recent natural phenomena that have hit different regions of the country. The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermúdez, transmitted an official message to H.E. Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, President of the Republic of India, in which he expresses “the most sincere condolences, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, due to the regrettable loss of human life and material damage caused by the heavy rains and land displacements that are occurring in various states of India ”.

Joint Secretary of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs receives the Ambassador of Cuba.

The Ambassador designated of Cuba in India, Alejandro Simancas, was received in the Ministry of External Affairs, by the Joint Secretary, Gloria Gangte, head of the Division of Latin America and the Caribbean. During the meeting, they reviewed the main issues on the bilateral agenda and ratified the common will to strengthen the political dialogue between the two Foreign Ministries and give greater impetus to commercial and economic ties. The Second Secretary of the Diplomatic Mission, Juan Carlos Marcof, accompanied the Ambassador.

Cuba participates in the 4th General Assembly of the International Solar Alliance

Cuba participated in the 4th General Assembly of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), with the presence of the Minister of Energy and Mines, Livan Arronte Cruz. The event was conducted in a virtual manner with the participation of more than 260 participants from different countries, including Ministers of the energy sector and representatives of international organizations such as the Latin American Energy Organization (OLADE) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
