India and Cuba strengthen cooperation in biotechnology.
New Delhi, April 19 2017. India may get benefits with the progress of Cuban biotechnology, one of the greatest achievements by Cuba after the triumph of the Revolution in 1959.Those were the words by Cuban expert Ibis Portuondo, sales manager from Cuban firm HERBER BIOTEC.
We are here to promote relations between Cuban and Indian companies in this field and to cooperate in joint projects, Ibis Portuondo Martínez, sales manager of the Cuban firm Heber Biotec, said in a conference at the Press Club of india
Cuban Ambassador briefly exchanges with the President of Nepal
New Delhi, April 19, 2017. Cuban Ambassador Oscar Martínez Cordovés greet the President of Nepal, Hon. Ms. Bidya Devi Bhandari, during the welcoming ceremony hosted yesterday by the President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan, during the first official visit to this country of the Nepalese leader, from 17 to 21 this month.
The brief exchange was conducive for the Cuban Ambassador to reiterate to the Honorable President the desire of strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries.
Chief Minister of Kerala, India, receives the Cuban Ambassador.
New Delhi, April 16, 2017. Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of the State of Kerala, welcomed the Cuban ambassador to India, Oscar Martínez Cordovés, in view of the historical ties that have existed between our country and that state which is actually led by a Left government.
The meeting,that took place in a fraternal atmosphere, was conducive to examining issues on the bilateral agenda regarding the potential for the development of economic ties and the cooperation in general.
The legacy of Fidel Castro continues in India
New Delhi, 15th April 2017. Several social, and educational organizations and trade union in India highlighted the work and legacy of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, while condemning the blockade of the United States against the island in the framework of a visit to India by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the People’s (ICAP) led by the prominent journalist and writer Marta Rojas, and the presence of Yexenia Calzado, an ICAP official.
