Nepal's President, PM condole demise of Fidel Castro

Castro, Cuba’s longest-serving Communist leader, died on Friday night at the age of 90.
In a condolence message sent to Cuba’s President Raul Castro on Saturday, President Bhandari has extended profound sadness over the passing of the historic leader.

Remembering Fidel Castro: President Pranab Mukherjee Pays Tribute
President Pranab Mukherjee delivered a speech on Saturday as he paid tribute to Former Cuban President Fidel Castro, who died on Friday night.
“I’m deeply sad to learn of Former Cuban President Fidel Castro's demise,” said the President.
Fidel Castro led a rebel army to improbable victory in Cuba, embraced Soviet-style communism and defied the power of 10 US presidents during his half century rule. The Former President also shared a good relationship with India as he was close to Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.

On the occasion of the demise of the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba declares nine days of national mourning, from 06:00 hours on November 26 to 12:00 hours of December 4, 2016.
During the period of the National Mourning will cease the activities and public shows, the national flag will wave at half mast on public buildings and military facilities. The radio and television will maintain historical, patriotic, and informative programming.
