Cuban diplomats visit the city of Whanganui.

Whanganui, November 19. During a visit to this city, Ambassador Edgardo Valdés had a friendly meeting with Mayor H.W Hamish Mc Douall, with whom he exchanged on the situation in Cuba, the relationship with New Zealand and other topics of interest.

McDouall praised the Cuban film "Inocencia", shown here recently in the framework of the Latin America and Spain Film Festival.

Several ideas for cultural cooperation and the promotion of tourism to Cuba emerged from the meeting.

Successful exhibition of photos about Cuba in Wellington.

Wellington, March 27. An exhibition of photos about Cuba, taken by New Zealand tourists who visited us, was attended by several hundred people during the weekend, as part of the Cuba Dupa Festival, one of the most important in the city.

Diplomats, artists, businessmen, and the general public enjoyed the photos, music, Cuban food, and mojitos, which allowed them to get closer to Cuba in a party atmosphere.

 

Cuban Ambassador visits the city of Palmerston North.

Palmerston, February 27. Responding to an invitation from the mayor of the city, H.W Grant Smith, Ambassador Edgardo Valdés attended the Festival of Cultures and carried out an intense program on the 26th and 27th.

A visit to Massey University and its research centers, dinner with the Mayor, and the opening ceremony of the festival were some of the main activities.

The Ambassador also made arrangements for the next Latin American and Spanish Film Festival (LASFF), which should open in September.
