A representation of the Cuban State Mission in Jamaica, headed by Ambassador Fermín Quiñones Sánchez, visited the Fidel Castro headquarters of the Anchovy Secondary School, in the parish of Saint James, to participate in the ceremony to thank the Board of Governors leaving that school.

Directors and members of the 'Antonio Maceo' Association of Cuban Residents in Jamaica and other members of the Cuban community joined a caravan of cars this Sunday morning in support of Cuba and against the inhumane economic, commercial and financial blockade maintained by the US government on the Greater Antilles.

The José Martí Technical School hosted the celebration in Jamaica on the 169th anniversary of the birth of our National Hero, in an event that was attended by the Ambassador of Cuba Fermín Quiñones, the coordinators of the Medical and Education brigades and the president of the Association of Cuban Residents on the island.
Located in Spanish Town, Saint Catherine, the center for technical studies was a gift given by the people and government of Cuba to the people and government of Jamaica 45 years ago.
