Vientiane Mayo, 2024.  The Deputy Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR (BOL) Khankeo Lamaningao received in  a courtesy call from Cuban Ambassador to Laos Enna Esther Viant Valdes.

The Embassy of Cuba together with the Lao National University, participated in the First Scientific Workshop on the occasion of the celebration of half a century of consistent relations. The event held in the facilities of this high educational and academic center, was honored with the presence of the deputy minister of the Ministry of Education and Sports, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sourioudong Sundara and the president of NUOL Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dexanourath Seneduangdeth to whom Other renowned directors of the deanery, professors and students joined.

The Cuban press reflects the visit of the member of the Secretariat of the CC PPRL and president of the Lao People's Supreme Court, Cra Viengthong Siphandone received by Rubén Remigio Ferro, president of the Supreme Court. Both heads of the respective bodies advocated strengthening cooperation in legal matters, in the context of the visit to Havana of Cra. Siphandone from that Asian nation.

Vientiane, May 2024 The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has learned with deep concern of the decision of a judge of the Court for the District of Columbia of the United States, issued on May 1, 2024, which acquitted Alexander Alazo Baró of the four charges that were working against him, as a result of the terrorist attack perpetrated by him against the Cuban Embassy in the United States in the early hours of April 30, 2020, for which he alleged the perpetrator's insanity.
