The National Federation of Trade Unions of Workers and Employees of Lebanon (FENASOL) expresses its warm congratulations to the Cuban leadership and the Cuban working class through the Cuban Embassy in Lebanon for the victory over U.S. imperialism in its aggressive practices against Cuba and its people.

We extend our warm congratulations and solidarity for the removal of Cuba from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism according to the pretensions of U.S. imperialism.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic, Abdulla Bou Habib, sent a congratulatory message to the Cuban Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, conveying his congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Cuba.

The message stresses the commitment to continue working for the strengthening of the ties of respect and solidarity existing between Lebanon and Cuba.

The Political Bureau of the Lebanese Communist Party congratulates the leadership of the Cuban government and the Communist Party of Cuba for the decision signed by U.S. President Biden to remove Cuba from the list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism, after a political campaign and international popular solidarity of which our party was part.

Declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba

On January 14, 2025, the government of the United States announced the following decisions:

 

1. Remove Cuba from the State Department list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism;

2. Make use of the presidential faculty to prevent US courts from taking action with regards to lawsuits that might be filed by virtue of Title III of the Helms-Burton Act; and
